Industry Nine to supply hubs for Reynolds Blacklabel wheels

SANDY, Utah (BRAIN) — Industry Nine Componentry will now provide hubs for all Reynolds Cycling's Blacklabel mountain bike wheelsets, the companies announced this week.

"Pairing Reynolds' carbon rim technology with Industry Nine's extensive hub and drive system manufacturing experience creates a definitive category leader. We look forward to working with Reynolds as we continue to push the envelope for wheel technology and performance," said Jacob McGahey, Industry Nine's operations manager.

Dean Gestal, Reynolds Cycling's CEO, said, "We are creating world-class rim structures that we want to roll on the absolute best hubs money can buy ... Reynolds chose Industry Nine Componentry as its hub supplier due to its superior quality known within the industry."

Reynolds also recently announced a new wheel trade-in program running this month and next. The program invites consumers to bring in any set of wheels to a Reynolds Authorized Dealer and receive a $250 discount on the purchase of any new, in-stock set of Reynolds wheels.

The comapny said the program was intended to take help customers with wheels that are not compatible with new standards.

"We realize that our industry sometimes changes the rules on people, and that can have a negative impact on equipment choices," said Reynolds' domestic sales manager, Tom Gosselin. "We're hoping that by extending this offer to people, we can help them out and get them rolling on a nice, new set of wheels. And if we can help them clear some clutter out of the garage, too, then even better."
