LAS VEGAS (BRAIN) — The first annual Electric Bike Expo in January will kickstart the six-month tour, allowing consumers to demo power-assisted e-bikes on a test track. Tour organizer Extra Energy Services North America launched its new indoor test track at Interbike. The tour will visit six bicycle-friendly markets in the U.S. and allow retailers and consumers over the age of 16 to demo a selection of e-bikes on a closed-loop outdoor circuit featuring specialized terrain to highlight hill climbing capabilities.

Bosch eBike Systems is the presenting sponsor of the tour.

The first tour stop is Tempe, Ariz., in conjunction with Interbike and its annual IBD Summit. The dealer conference is scheduled for Jan. 12-14 at the Phoenix Marriott Tempe at the Buttes. The Electric Bike Expo will overlap starting on Jan. 14 and will run through the weekend at Tempe Diablo Stadium. The event opens to the public on Friday afternoon from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Additional tour stops include San Diego, Calif., in February; Houston, Tex., in March; Palo Alto, Calif., in April; Portland, Ore., in May; and Denver, Colo., in June.
