SANTA MONICA, Calif. (BRAIN) — Bonk Breaker has hired Christian Johnson to fill the company's newly created position of vice president of global sales. The company said the new role highlights its rapid expansion.

"There are few things more professionally rewarding than adding great people to the Bonk Breaker team," said Chris Frank, Bonk Breaker's chairman and co-CEO. "We have an incredibly dedicated and talented team already in place, and we believe strongly that Christian's drive, experience and competitive spirit will be a vital addition at the helm of our sales efforts as we position the Bonk Breaker brand to grow to the next level."

Originally created in 2006 by a hungry cyclist tinkering in his mother's kitchen, Bonk Breaker now has distribution in North America (Canada, Mexico, Panama and Dominican Republic), Europe (France, Italy, Scandinavia, Greece and Finland), Asia (Japan, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates and the Philippines) and Africa. Johnson comes to Bonk Breaker following a career in business development and brand strategy in the endurance and outdoor industries, including a decade as vice president of sales and marketing at GU Energy Labs.

"I'm absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Chris, Jason and the rest of the Bonk Breaker team," Johnson said. "They've achieved exceptional results in the sports nutrition world in a short period of time, and there's a bright future ahead as we hit our stride in key markets around the world. Being part of such an entrepreneurial and driven environment is a big part of the allure, and has already been a career highlight in my short time on board. I'm proud to call Bonk Breaker my new professional home."
