Suunto hires brand and commercial managers for North America

OGDEN, Utah (BRAIN) — Suunto has hired Bryson White as brand manager for the Americas and Jason Tillinghast as commercial category manager for North America.  

Tillinghast will have a key role in executing the wearable device maker’s commercial strategy while being the primary interface between the brand and the sales force, Suunto stated. He will also lead the effort to build the Suunto brand in the outdoor, performance and “hook and bullet” categories and work directly with the marketing and product teams.

“I’m very excited to work for Suunto and be a part of the Amer Sports family. I have a strong passion for precision wearable technology and I’m thrilled to join one of the pioneers in the space,” Tillinghast said. “Suunto is very compelling to me as the products are applicable to virtually every sport people can imagine; where measuring performance for improvement is important.”

White will manage Suunto’s communication and marketing strategy in the Americas while working with the product and executive teams in Finland.

“We are excited to bring Bryson into our Utah office and have him work in-house with our team,” said Olli Osara, regional commercial director for the Americas. “He has shown a love for the brand and brings with him a fresh perspective. He has great energy, creativity and marketing skills that will assist in growing the brand in the right channels.”
