Vittoria signs Mike King as brand ambassador

Published March 6, 2017

BOSTON (BRAIN) — Vittoria Industries North America has added Mike King to its growing roster of athletes and ambassadors.

"Adding an icon like Mike King to the roster allows for critical guidance and validation for our brands," said Ken Avery, VINA's VP of marketing and product. "His vast experiences will be valuable as Vittoria continues our dedication to supporting the next generation of mountain bike stars like Chris Boice, Adam Morse and Samantha Kingshill."

King is also a brand ambassador for the Rhinomed Turbine product line, which VINA distributes. "Getting him on Vittoria tires was a natural progression to support VINA's expanding traded brand program. This allows for targeted cross-promotion of multiple brands under the VINA umbrella," the company said.

King, who will also be involved in product testing, said, "I am thrilled to be riding with Vittoria tires for the next three years and working with such a passionate group of people who share the same vision. The compound technology is incredible and suits my riding style in all types of terrain. I can't wait to start developing new tires and providing feedback to the team of engineers."

King lives in South Carolina and is the BMX supervisor with the city of Rock Hill at the Novant Health BMX Supercross track, the first Olympic-caliber training facility on the East Coast and home of the 2017 UCI BMX World Championships. He is also a brand ambassador for Felt Bicycles, Shimano, Glukos Energy, BikeFlights.com and ODI grips.
