Published August 8, 2017

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. (BRAIN) — Interbike will host a screening of "Blood Road" in partnership with Red Bull Media House on Sept. 20.

"Blood Road" follows ultra-endurance mountain bike athlete Rebecca Rusch and her Vietnamese riding partner, Huyen Nguyen, as they pedal 1,200 miles along the Ho Chi Minh Trail to reach the crash site and final resting place of Rusch's father, a U.S. Air Force pilot, who was shot down over Laos some 40 years earlier.

"Blood Road" will screen at 6 p.m. at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Interbike attendees are also invited to join Rusch and Red Bull Media House for a pre-screening reception starting at 5:30pm to learn more about the making of the film.

"I've spent most of my life racing around the world and discovered that it was all leading me to the most important journey of my life. Being able to share the story of this journey with the help of Red Bull Media House is a powerful gift to the memory of my father and lends purpose to my career as a professional athlete," said Rebecca Rusch. "My ride down the Ho Chi Minh Trail was one of personal healing and discovery but I also hope that others find inspiration, awareness and forgiveness from watching Blood Road."
