Published October 16, 2007

PERRIS, CA (BRAIN)—American Flyer Bicycle Company president Lonnie Green was recently granted a patent for his new cruiser style bike called Surf Cycle.

The bike has a surfboard-shaped toptube welded into the frame. “The toptube is formed in California and sent overseas to be welded into frames,” Green said. “The project has been a labor of love for me and I hope many people enjoy the design and get a kick out of riding their Surf Cycle.”

Green has been in the industry for 28 years including 12 years at GT Bicycles.

The Surf Cycle will eventually be available at retailers throughout the United States. —Jason Norman
