Ready to Pedal Looking for Sponsors

LAS VEGAS, NV (BRAIN)—Growth Cycle president Ray Keener will be signing up product sponsors at Interbike for a new consumer DVD, Ready to Pedal.

Subtitled Ride More, Drive Less, Here’s How! the new DVD will be available for sale to all IBDs beginning in November at a cost of under $2 each, with a cover price of $14.95. The product will ship in February 2009.

“The industry’s current healthy status is based on the growth of cycling for transportation,” Keener said. “We’re delighted to offer IBDs a topical new educational and inspirational product to keep the boom growing.”

A readytopedal.com Web site will include a dealer finder for all stores purchasing the DVD, links to advocacy organizations, Cateye’s worldcommute.com site, plus news and views to help cyclists up their level of involvement in transportation cycling.

Sponsors being approached at Interbike include Axiom, Bell, Burley, Cateye, Genuine Innovations, Incredibell/Mirrycle, Kryptonite, Mr. Tuffy, OnGuard, Pearl Izumi, Rocket Shower, and Saris.

“We’re putting the sponsorship dollars directly into a national PR campaign in conjunction with worldcommute.com,” Keener said. "We want to make sure that articles and TV news pieces on transportation cycling are leading consumers into IBDs.”
