Subrosa to offer four new BMX models in deal with Slayer, the heavy metal band

LONGWOOD, Fla. (BRAIN) — BMX bike company Subrosa Brand is launching a promotion with thrash metal band Slayer. Subrosa will offer four new bike models with Slayer-approved custom head badges and color schemes.

Ryan Sher, Subrosa's brand manager, said, "BMX has always had love for metal. Whether it's in the headphones of riders ripping through town, background music during a contest run, or the soundtrack to some of the most famous and influential video parts, Slayer has been a huge piece of it all.

"We are humbled and honored to be teaming up with Slayer on this project. We wanted to create bikes that BMX riders could use and abuse, and we had to do justice to Slayer and their fans by creating a look that would represent the band and stand out from anything we've done before."

The Slayer collection includes a balance bike, a 20-inch BMX street bike, a 26-inch BMX bike and a 700c bike.

Subrosa bikes are distributed by Sparky's Distribution and QBP. The Slayer bikes are available for pre-book through Sparky's, with delivery in October.
