Florida’s Outspokin opens Giant partner store

Published March 21, 2013

TAMPA, FL (BRAIN)—Outspokin Cycles of Clearwater, Florida, has expanded to a second location with the opening of its Giant partner store in Tampa. The partner designation means Outspokin owners Val and Stan Tavanese worked with Giant’s merchandising team in the new store’s presentation, layout, messaging and color scheme.

“We opened this store across the bay from our Clearwater store because we felt we could better serve the entire Tampa Bay market with these two stores strategically located,” said Val Tavanese. “We’re delighted by the reactions to the look of the store. Everyone who has come through—locals, manufacturers’ reps and everyone else—when they first walk in they just stop and gaze in awe and excitement.”

“Val and Stan’s new store was designed to highlight Outspokin’s commitment to best-in-class retail experience,” said Reuben Hernandez, Giant USA’s merchandising manager.  “Featuring a bright and open floor plan, the store flows nicely and overall just looks fantastic.  It’s a unique and complete shopping experience for all levels of cyclists and triathletes, from beginners to hard-core enthusiasts.”

The new location also features an extensive, high-tech fit studio. “Anyone looking to improve their riding skills or prepare for an upcoming race can have a theater setting for an experience like none other,” said Stan Tavanese. “Athletes can choose to ride a variety of courses all effectively simulated and depicted virtually on a big-screen TV.”
