Pittalugas open their fifth store in Phoenix area, as a Giant Partner Store

PHOENIX, Ariz. (BRAIN) — Randy and Sally Pittaluga have opened their fifth bike shop in the Phoenix area, Bike Masters Ahwatukee, a Giant Partner Store. The Pittalugas, co-owners of the Bike Masters and Bikes Direct store brands, worked with the Giant Retail Services team in the design of their newest location.

"They helped create the look, the layout, and the merchandising here. We just couldn't have done that on our own," Randy said. "Giant is a great partner – their bikes are awesome, too. With their help, the new Ahwatukee store will be our best ever."

The Giant Partner Store designation means the business showcases the full range of Giant and Liv bikes and gear. Flooring, lighting, wall coverings, graphics, and messaging throughout the store's 1750-square feet of retail space highlight Bike Masters, as well as the Giant and Liv brands.

"Our aim was to assist Randy and Sally with their growth plan by updating the new Bike Masters store layout and in-store brand identity," said Timothy Johnson, Giant USA retail services executive. "The floor plan allows for better access to products, and the new colors and graphics create an inviting shopping environment for riders of all types and abilities. The end result is an easy-to-maintain, fun place to work and share the passion for cycling."

The new Bike Masters location, at 4802 East Ray Road, is ideal for all levels of cyclists, according to Randy. "It's close to great riding in South Mountain Park, and there is already a strong road biking community in the area," he said. "We've also seen a huge increase in 'newbies' in all of our stores, so we have a big selection of cruisers and comfort bikes as well as high-end carbon-fiber road and mountain bikes. We look at the beginner cyclist as an opportunity to create a lifetime rider."

Sally Pittaluga said, "We host weekly mountain and road rides from our stores, as well as offering tech support at lots of events around here.

Bike Masters has partnered with a few Phoenix-area schools, including Mountain Pointe High School, to sponsor NICA mountain bike race teams.

Bike Masters Ahwatukee has approximately 1,750 square feet of retail space.
