The Pro's Closet launches Quality Assurance program, hopes to expand sales of demo and overstock bikes

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — The Pro's Closet is rolling out a new pre-owned bicycle program, "TPC Quality Assurance."

The company — which claims to be the largest retailer of used bikes in the country — said the new program will benefit customers looking to buy quality pre-owned bicycles, and also assist vendors and manufacturers in selling overstock and demo products.

Under the new program, TPC inspects and tunes demo bikes before offering them for sale. Bikes are photographed and inspected again by a sales team who list them on eBay. TPC handles packing and shipping to the purchaser. The company's customer service team assists with any post-sale issues or questions to make sure every customer is happy with their purchase.

"We are leveraging our expertise in the pre-owned marketplace to make the bike industry stronger. Last year, we launched our Trade-UP program to support our retail partners. Now, we're launching TPC Quality Assurance to support manufacturers by streamlining their processes for managing their demo inventory while protecting their brand in the pre-owned space. And we support our customers by raising the bar in terms of what they should expect from a used bike. Everybody wins with this model," says Nick Martin, the founder & CEO of The Pro's Closet.

The Pro's Closet is already working with several manufacturers and vendors to buy and sell their overstock and demo bikes. "Selling our demos through TPC was an easy decision. We knew their detailed inspection and pro tune performed in their state-of the-art facility, plus their back-end customer service would protect the Niner brand in the pre-owned marketplace," said Aaron Martin, the director of sales at Niner Bikes.
