HALIFAX, Nova Scotia — Halifax retailer Barry Misener, a fixture in the Nova Scotia cycling community for more than 20 years, has teamed up with Giant Canada to open Giant Halifax. The 2,500 square-foot store, which opened in April, is located in downtown Halifax, close to the cities' two universities.

HAMTRAMCK, Mich. (BRAIN) — Retailer Kelli Kavanaugh will open her second shop in the Detroit metro area in mid-June. Wheelhouse Detroit's new store is located in Hamtramck, which lies about six miles north of Detroit.

Mobile repair franchise offers to assemble and deliver bikes ordered online.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (BRAIN) — Mobile bike repair franchiser Velofix is offering to assemble and deliver new bikes that consumers order online. Velofix, which has nearly 50 franchise operators in North America, is looking to make agreements with brands in the markets where it has franchises.
