Sales Manager

About this job
The Sales Manager (USA & Canada) will work with a team of highly motivated business development professionals in the expansion of our retail and brand partnerships. The successful candidate will have a proven background in quota carrying sales and be a member of a quickly growing team of business development professionals that leave their egos at the door.
A biking background (personally or professionally within the industry) is preferred but not essential.
What you’ll do
You champion our global BEX vision, mission and targets and foster a strong belief that we’ll achieve these
You work closely with your regional sales leader and team members to follow strategies, processes and standards to achieve your targets
You follow appropriate sales qualification and lead generation processes to ensure that potential sales are targeted to retailers and brands that will see immediate value and establish long term commitments
You negotiate and revise as required all sales contracts with retailers and brands
You work to ensure that all retailers and brands are Ecommerce enabled as a baseline requirement for long term success
Be part of a global sales team that makes Bike Exchange the ONLY destination people go to for all things bike.
You are happy to be coached and guided to continuously refine your craft and raise your bar
You are a true team player and work closely not only with the sales success team and other regional sales team members to smash your regional targets.

In your toolkit
A proven background in quota carrying sales
Marketplace and or eCommerce experience
An appreciation for the digitization of commerce
Ideally, you’ll be passionate about cycling and enjoy riding, racing, talking and watching cycling related stuff
Your Background
5 + years of experience in the retail sales and Ecommerce industry
Strong knowledge of a sales process, lead generation, targets, reporting
Proven track record in regards to relationship development
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience collaborating with leaders cross-functionally (e.g. Finance, HR and Marketing).
