LANCASTER, NY (BRAIN) DP Brakes, manufacturer of sintered metal braking pads for motorcycles, is growing its product line with offerings for the bike market.

“DP Brakes have been the first choice for motorcross, enduro and off-road competitors worldwide for more than three decades,” said Larry Mills, president of DP Brakes North America. “It makes sense that with all of our success and experience we have decided to expand our line of brake pads and rotors into the bicycle market.”

DP Brakes is offering three brake pad compounds:

- XC Pro Sintered for cross country and trail riding

- DH Pro Sintered for downhill

- XC Eco Organic for cross country and trail riding

In addition to the brake pad line, the company is also selling a range of one- and two-piece standard and oversized rotors made from 410 stainless steel. They will be available in 160, 180 and 203 millimeters.

“After extensive testing, the results have proven that the rider will experience improved stopping power along with quiet, fade-free performance under all conditions,” Mills said. “We are very excited to be able to offer this range of brake products to the bicycle market at an affordable, competitive price."

Brake pads range in MSRP from $16.95 to $24.95; brake rotors range from $20 for the standard size to $65 for Cryo Frozen Oversize; and brake adapters for the oversized rotors are $9.95 to $19.95.

DP Brakes are available through regional East Coast distributor, Eastern Panhandle Bicycle Company (304) 263-3760 and its website, or direct through DP Brakes.
