Becker and Ritzler assume new roles at SRAM

Published March 3, 2014

CHICAGO (BRAIN) — SRAM announced two changes in its management staff. Former category manager Charles Becker is now business and industry strategist, and Ron Ritzler, former category manager for mountain bike drivetrain, is now category manager for road and triathlon in addition to mountain.

Becker has been with SRAM for 12 years. He joined the company as product manager. For the last eight years he’s been category manager for the road and triathlon segments. Becker played a leading role in launching SRAM into the road bike segment in 2007. In his new position he will capture and analyze global industry market data for use by SRAM management in shaping corporate strategy.

Ritzler has been with SRAM 16 years. He was vital in SRAM’s original road developments while serving as road product manager at the time of SRAM’s leap into the road segment. Ritzler will be supported by mountain bike product managers Chris Hilton and Roberts Graudins, and in the road segment by J.P. McCarthy and Brad Menna.

“These are exciting changes for Charles, Ron and SRAM. I look forward to their continued leadership in these new roles,” said Mike Mercuri, SRAM’s vice president of product and marketing.
