WILTON, Conn. (BRAIN) – Scott Rittschof is joining Cycling Sports Group, a division of Dorel Industries, as senior vice president and general manager. Dorel owns Cannondale, Schwinn, GT, Mongoose, Caloi, IronHorse and Sugoi, which are part of its recreational and leisure division.

Bob Burbank, who started at the company as the global general manager of Cannondale in 2010, is leaving to pursue other opportunities, Dorel said.

Rittschof brings more than 30 years of senior management experience largely focused in the cycling industry, most recently as CEO of Focus Bicycles USA and as vice president of worldwide sales for Cervélo Cycles. Rittschoff also owned a successful chain of bike shops in San Diego, California, and held senior management positions over a seven-year period at PowerBar.

Rittschof will handle brand marketing, product development and R&D for Cannondale and GT. He will report to Peter Woods, CEO and president of Dorel's recreational/leisure division.

“I’m very excited to welcome Scott to the team. His experience in the cycling industry combined with his proven leadership will help drive the continued growth of the company and our brands,” said Woods. “This is a great time for Cycling Sports Group as we invest in innovation and focus on developing and delivering the best possible product for our customers.”

"Cannondale and GT have long been innovative and exciting global brands. The established talent in this company and its outstanding retailer network is a winning combination for the future. I feel privileged to be joining the CSG team," said Rittschof.
