Quality Bicycle Products expands sales team

Published August 18, 2016

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (BRAIN) — Quality Bicycle Products said it’s filling four key sales positions. The distributor said it’s an investment in specialty retail, with more dedicated resources to accommodate its Dealer’s Choice program and to help dealers thrive.

Alix Magner is assuming the role of director of sales. With QBP since 2006, Magner will now set the direction for QBP sales, customer service and events. Focusing on how QBP supports and sells to its customers, she will advance key QBP strategies like Dealer’s Choice and set the tone for annual QBP events like SaddleDrive and Frostbike.

Benton Hunt is QBP’s new national sales manager, a role Magner held previously. Hunt will oversee the QBP sales team, including account managers, outside sales reps and regional sales managers.

Peter Grimes takes over as Western regional sales manager, overseeing outside sales reps and providing dealers in the Western U.S. more individualized service and attention.

In a new role for QBP, Demian Lampland steps up to senior key accounts manager. Lampland will work with QBP director of national accounts Todd Cravens and focus on growing sales both nationally and regionally, while Cravens will continue to consult with vendors on MAP and channel integrity.

“It’s a privilege to actively support the specialty retailers with whom we’ve built partnerships,” Magner said. “Expanding our sales leadership team allows us to dedicate ourselves to these partners even more, while building new relationships as well.”
