PHILADELPHIA (BRAIN) — Advanced Sports International (ASI) is launching Tuesday Cycles, a new lifestyle brand of cruisers, comfort and lifestyle bikes, this week at Interbike.

In addition to Tuesday Cycles’ contemporary style cues from the Southern California beach scene, the brand will feature frame design aimed at accommodating riders of all abilities.

The first three models in the Tuesday line all feature Touch Down Geometry (TDG), which puts the rider in a relaxed, upright position and allows for placing a foot on the ground when stopping. The three Tuesday models will come in a variety of color options, and include a comfort bike called the March, a steel cruiser called the June and an aluminum cruiser called the August.

The introduction of Tuesday Cycles is part of the overall growth plan of ASE, the parent company of ASI, which purchased the country’s largest specialty bicycle retailer, Performance Bicycle, and created a retail division.

ASI, which owns Fuji Bikes, Kestrel Bicycles, Breezer Bikes, SE Bikes, Phat Cycles and Oval Concepts componentry, developed the new lifestyle brand for its dealers to offer innovative product not currently in the company’s brand offerings.

The bikes' Touch Down Geometry strategically places the seat down and back while moving the pedals forward. This rider positioning allows for the best leg extension and easy foot-down control ideal for casual riders seeking a stable-yet-stylish bike.

The initial debut of Tuesday Cycles is this week at Interbike, with a second press event and launch party in the first quarter of 2017.

The ASI booth space at Interbike devoted to Tuesday will be fully branded and feature samples of all three initially available models in various drivetrain options.
