IRVINE, Calif. (BRAIN) – Felt Bicycles has announced that it has hired Juan Diaz as sales representative for select counties in Southern California, from Orange in the south to San Luis Obispo in the north, along with the states of Nevada, Arizona and Hawaii.

Diaz has spent several years expanding cycling’s reach throughout Southern California by managing charitable events and cultivating close ties to a variety of bicycle retailers. Diaz also brings several decades’ worth of industry sales experience to his new position. Prior to joining Felt, Diaz worked with brands such as Specialized, Yakima, Thule, Pivot, Light & Motion and Troy Lee Designs. Diaz also worked for Mountain Bike magazine for nearly five years.

“I’m super excited to be part of the Felt family. Having grown up in Orange County and seeing Felt grow and expand from my home area into a global powerhouse has been truly inspiring,” Diaz said. “I’ve always been enthralled with Jim Felt’s story, as well, from his early career in the motorcycle industry and then continuing his passion for innovation for several decades in the bicycle industry. It’s wonderful that he and the Felt team still have an incredible drive to create the best products in the world.”

“My passion for cycling runs deep, beginning when I was 10 years old and blossoming when I began working for local bike shops. From BMX to mountain bike racing, endurance events to my career endeavors, I’ve spent nearly my entire life connected in some way to cycling. Now I look forward to working and building strong and lasting relationships for Felt Bicycles and its key retailers,” Diaz added.

“We’re very excited to welcome Juan to the team,” said Adam Micklin, Felt’s vice president of sales and marketing. “Juan’s immense passion for the sport and his years of building incredibly strong relationships with many Southern California retailers will be incredibly valuable as we continue to enhance the business of our retailers in one of the company’s most significant cycling communities.
