BTI's second distribution facility open for business

Published May 17, 2017

SANTA FE, N.M.(BRAIN) — Bicycle Technologies International has begun shipping orders from its second distribution facility, located in Reno-Sparks, Nevada.

Bike shops in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah and Arizona can now receive orders from BTI next day at standard ground rates, along with more affordable shipping rates for heavier, bulkier items such as car racks and wheels. For orders over $450, standard shipping is free, and with no exclusions for oversized items.

BTI-Reno will be using UPS, OnTrac, GSO and USPS for small package delivery. The largest orders will ship by the most economical truck freight option. Dealers can refer to the BTI website for order cutoff times required for same-day shipment.

Industry veteran Anthony Kordonowy is BTI’s Reno DC manager. Kordonowy, who joined the company in January, worked in the industry for 24 years prior as a bike shop owner and a manager at Hawley. Kordonowy came on board to assist BTI in securing a warehouse, setting up racking and equipment, hiring and training staff, and launching operations.

"We will continue fine tuning the BTI website based on dealer feedback,” said BTI president Preston Martin. "For example, you can now see a breakdown of available inventory quantity by location on each item."
