Stages Cycling works with Today's Plan to offer training and data platform

Published June 21, 2016

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — Power meter manufacturer Stages Cycling is now working with Australia's Today's Plan to develop a Stages Cycling training and data analysis web platform.

The new system will allow Stages to create training programs, tailor data analysis and offer users educational content from Stages' specialists.

"Our goal is to make it even easier for every Stages Cycling customer to train with power data and to analyze this data to help them improve. By doing so, we're helping our customers get the maximum benefit from their Stages product," said Doug Crawford, the VP of Stages Cycling "We have a lot of in-house expertise on how best to train with power and we're very excited by the opportunity to partner with Today's Plan to bring those new concepts to life."

Software development is already under way with the beta version of the site expected to go live in early August.

Ben Bowley, the CEO of Today's Plan, said, "Today's Plan is thrilled to be working collaboratively with Stages Cycling on this project. I have spent most of my working career in consumer electronics companies including 14 years at Apple, so I understand the 'ease of use' expectations that consumers have and know that the integration between hardware and software is the key to that. Since we began talking to Stages two years ago, it was clear that we had many shared goals, including modernizing cycling training by making it simple for customers to undertake structured training, which capitalized on increasingly popular sensor technology, particularly power meters."
