Published October 7, 2015

WILTON, Conn. (BRAIN) — Guru and 51 Speedshop will host bike fit training seminars at the Guru Academy Oct. 21-22 and in Denver at Define Cycling Nov. 10-11. Mat Steinmetz and Dave Ripley of 51 Speedshop and the Guru Academy Advisory, and Jane Pearson, Guru’s director of education and business development will lead the seminars.

“Our new Mile High Training seminars will expand the Guru Academy’s leadership position within North America and open our world-class training to a wider audience,” said Pearson.

Each seminar will focus on triathlon and time-trial fit. Points of emphasis will include how to create a proper aero position, delivering results according to athlete expectations and developing an optimal fit from a poor configuration.

The seminars will use the Guru Fit System.

“Bike fit is at the forefront of modern retail and Guru’s commitment to fit science education is unmatched,” said Steinmetz. “We are thrilled to work with Guru in providing bike retailers and fitters with the insights and skillset required to perform outstanding fits with every cyclist.”

The two-day Guru Academy course is $1,499 per person. Each one-day seminar in Denver is $749 per person. Each course is open to all retailers and fitters. Attendees will also get access to a free one-hour Google Hangout a month after the class for additional feedback and conversations about the topics covered.

Space in each seminar is limited to 10 attendees. Registration is handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
