AT THE GOLD COUNTRY CLASSIC FALL CYCLING FESTIVAL

Reputable Northern California race promoter will run all MTB, Cyclocross, eBike and kid’s events at the inaugural bike festival on September 13-15, 2024 at the legendary Calaveras County Fairgrounds in Angels Camp, CA.

Fullerton, CA (June 1, 2024) – “ A man’s got to know his limitations.” - Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry. That’s why the most capable have been contracted to run the most important component of the inaugural Gold Country Classic at Frogtown this September 13-15 in Angels Camp.

It’s all about the racing. The organizers for the fall cycling festival in Calaveras County have signed a two-year agreement with Clipped In For Life of Eldorado Hills, CA to provide race operations for the event and they have begun laying out the courses in and around the Calaveras County Fairgrounds.

Clipped In For Life, a non-profit organization and operators of Sacramento Cyclocross, Motherlode Epic, Folsom Grom, and more, will handle all race registration, course design and set up, timing, scoring and announcing with their team of race professionals led by Clint and Jenn Claassen.

Recently, renowned racecourse designer, Clint has been out in Calaveras County on his bike riding the 800 acres behind the fairgrounds and the facility itself overviewing all the possibilities for fun, challenging, and exciting race action for the event’s three days.

“We are excited to be part of the team to bring this new cycling festival to Northern California,” says Clipped In for Life Executive Director Clint Claassen, “We have toured and ridden the properties and they’re a blank canvas for designing fun racing events unique only to Frogtown. Racers will love the experience inside the tape, andspectators will enjoy watching racers twist, turn and jump through the fairgrounds.”

With all the other activities going on during the event with the expo, demos, and other entertainment for attendees, the event promoters knew outsourcing the race operations was critical.

“Having been involved with many quality race promoters over the years with my time as GT Bicycles Marketing Director, I know what it takes to run a fun, challenging and efficient event,” says Gold Country Classic Producer/Co-Founder Todd Huffman, “We knew we had to have local professionals who know what they are doing and have a connection to the racing community in the region to run the races for the event and Clint and Jenn’s company filled the bill.”

Race events will take place Friday day and night, Saturday day and night, as well as Sunday. The consumer expo and demo area opens on Friday and will run through Sunday afternoon. Additional activities for the entire family will be announced soon.

Exhibitor booth pricing begins @$850 for a 10’x10’ ($283 per day) space and unique marketing spots are available for companies to elevate consumer passion about their products for the fall and holiday buying season. Sponsor packages are also available upon request.
