San Diego Custom Bicycle Show

The San Diego Custom Bicycle Show has changed its name to the International Bicycle Framebuilder Exposition, and will also be moving to a different location in the city.

The name change reflects the fact that the show has grown from its original concept as a regional show to become a much larger show, drawing interest from exhibitors nationally and internationally.

This past April's show sold out with 65 total booths, eight more than the previous year, according to Dave Ybarola, one of the show organizers.

"The founders of the IBFE have really put their torches in the right place," said Steve Boehmke, the show's new PR agent. "We have an awesome new location in Old San Diego, are keeping prices low for the artisans known as framebuilders, and are really creating a must-see show for all bike enthusiasts. We'll have other events surrounding the expo, like a live Paris-Roubaix party in the morning, and many as-yet-to-be-announced activities. I guarantee it will be the best global framebuilder show of 2011 and beyond."

Date: April 8, 2011 to April 10, 2011
Event Location:
Golden Hall at the San Diego Concourse
