WEST JORDAN, UT (BRAIN)—Dana Carson has joined Reynolds Cycling as its new international sales manager.

Carson is responsible for Reynolds Cycling sales in the international market outside of the European Union. Carson will also handle sales for Pacific Rims outside of the European Union. Pacific Rims is a new OEM carbon rim/wheel venture from Reynolds’ sister company in China, MacLean Quality Composites, Hangzhou. Pacific Rims is a price point carbon wheel offering, separate from but related to Reynolds Cycling, offering high quality carbon rim and wheel alternatives to Asian suppliers.

Reynolds Cycling president Dean Gestal said, "We are excited to announce that Dana Carson will join our sales team at Reynolds Cycling. Dana has extensive cycling industry experience and we are confident he will make a strong contribution to Reynolds Cycling."

Carson, who joins Reynolds Cycling from Hutchinson Tire North America, said, "I am very excited to be joining the Reynolds team. My background in the wheel goods market while at Hutchinson Tire North America had me working closely with many wheel manufacturers, so I am very familiar with the market sector. It is clear to me that the Reynolds Cycling is at the forefront of composite wheel technology and I look forward to working with Reynolds global distribution partners and to develop the Pacific Rims OEM business internationally."

Carson started his cycling career as a road racer from Southern California, and worked in bicycle shops as a kid. He moved on to join Performance Bike in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where he ran the custom bike build program. Eventually Carson ran his own sales agency representing Bianchi, Sinclair Imports and Hincapie Sports. Carson joined Hutchinson Tire North America as national sales manager in 2008 and finished there as managing director. He can be contacted at danac@reynoldscycling.com.
