London bike show opens at Royal Docks

LONDON (BRAIN)—The London Bike Show opens Thursday and runs through Sunday. The four-day consumer show is held at ExCel London in the city’s Royal Docks area. More than 100 global brands will exhibit with representation from companies large and small including American Classic, Assos, Bianchi, Cube, Easton, Electra, Giant, Honey Stinger, Pacific Cycles, Pivot, Salsa and Thomson.

Naturally, U.K. brands make a strong showing with Brooks, Moulton, Brompton, Planet X and Madison also scheduled to exhibit.

Industry newcomer Neil Pryde will use the venue to show a prototype of its new Bayamo TT bike. Brompton will display its limited edition London bike with graphics designed by London artist Vic Lee.

The bike show also includes a pump track, bike polo, the Bike Radar Training Hub, a performance from the Animal Bike Tour freestyle team, the Cycling Stage where clinics, 2012 pro team introductions and speaking sessions on cycling adventures and tours will take place and the Cool Wall, a display for four innovative bikes: bf1 systems’ Factor 001, a Team Sky Pinarello Dogma, and Ibis Tranny carbon hardtail and Boardman’s AIR 9.4 aero road bike.
