The all-too-prevalent idea is that 2.0 bike shops somehow don’t count. Well, enough of that stuff. Let’s look at some actual facts.
To hear the conventional wisdom tell it, as a retailer, if you’re not selling Trek/Specialized/Giant, you become a second-class citizen and drop off the industry radar screen. In terms of the ongoing industry discussion, you cease to exist. If you’re a bike brand, it’s the same. Only more so.
