ASHEVILLE, NC (BRAIN) — Former UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team trainer and soigneur, Bill Haelsen, died Monday at his home in Asheville, North Carolina. Haelsen was 45 years old.

RICHMOND, VA (BRAIN) — Retailer Ann “Spike” Toler, a mainstay of the Richmond cycling scene who unexpectedly passed away last week at age 50, will be remembered during a tribute mountain bike ride Wednesday originating at her shop, Coqui Cyclery.

HOUSTON, TX (BRAIN) — Kyle Bennett, a member of the 2008 U.S. Olympic BMX team, was killed early Sunday in a single-vehicle auto accident.

According to reports, Bennett, 33, died when he drove his truck off a road and through a culvert, hitting several trees and a gate.
