MORGAN HILL, Calif. (BRAIN) — Jeff McGuane has joined Specialized as the company's global sales and market development leader. McGuane most recently was the CEO of One Industries, a supplier of protective gear, helmets, gloves, graphics, hard parts and race wear for motocross and mountain bikes.

PHOENIX (BRAIN) — Current and former Cannondale employees were gathered outside the Marriott Hotel at the IBD Summit swapping stories about Steve Gooch, a longtime friend and mentor to many. Gooch was found dead Sunday after what might have been a fall while hiking a favorite trail in Virginia.

TEMECULA, Calif. (BRAIN) — Intense Cycles has hired Drew Engelmann in the newly created role of national sales manager. NILES, Ill. (BRAIN) — Joe Reichert, owner of Amling’s Cycle Shop and a longtime proponent of recumbents and trikes, suffered a brain aneurysm in mid-November. Reichert was in a coma for two weeks following the aneurysm and remains in the hospital on what is expected to be a long and difficult road to recovery.
