Every year, cyclists come from every state in the nation and dozens of countries around the world to experience Bike Expo New York and to gather together in the two days leading up to the TD Five Boro Bike Tour, a 40-mile traffic-free journey through NYC now in its 39th year. The Expo will once again host packet pickup for the Tour, and we're looking forward to welcoming back past exhibitors and riders, and meeting plenty of new ones.
This two-day cycling extravaganza is completely free and open to the public, and proceeds fund Bike New York's free bike education programs.
The TD Five Boro Bike Tour Presented by REI offers 32,000 cyclists the opportunity to bike through all five boroughs – Manhattan, The Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island – on streets totally free of traffic. The event is co-produced by Bike New York and the New York City Department of Transportation. Proceeds from the TD Five Boro Bike Tour fund Bike New York’s free bike education classes; last year, we taught more than 15,000 New Yorkers how to ride safely and confidently. Plus, there’s no better way to experience the Big Apple than by bike.
