Carmichael offers team coaching plans

Published April 17, 2013

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (BRAIN) — Carmichael Training Systems is now offering coaching plans for clubs, teams and other groups of athletes.

CTS will take advantage of video conferencing and online coaching software to coordinate training for six-20 members of a cycling or triathlon club, or four-10 members of a competitive race team.

“We’ve created a blend of individualization and standardization so each athlete makes significant progress, and the club or team can train effectively as a group,” said CTS founder and head coach Chris Carmichael.

Each athlete gets his/her own TrainingPeaks account to log workouts and upload training files, and the group’s coach analyzes field test data to establish each rider’s individual training intensity ranges. The group’s goals drive the creation of the monthly training plan, and the group comes together for monthly video-conference coaching consults.

The program will cost $65 per month per athletes for clubs or $90 per athletes for teams, about $100 per month less than CTS’s one-on-one coaching packages. CTS will rebate participating clubs and teams 5 percent of its total annual coaching fees.
