BiciSupport offers lever alignment tool

Published September 7, 2012

FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany (BRAIN) — We all know the customer (or employee) who frets about getting road bike brake levers positioned EXACTLY even on each side of the bar. Many mechanics have developed various jigs and measuring systems to position the levers, but Italy’s BiciSupport may have finally settled the question with a new tool introduced at Eurobike.

BiciSupport’s Art. 184 plugs into the handlebar end and then measures the horizontal and vertical distance from there to the bottom tip of a brake lever. The device also includes a bubble level to make sure everything is straight (assuming the bike itself is level).

The Art. 184 will be shown at Interbike in the booth of Albabici, the company’s U.S. distributor. It will be available in stock after the show; dealer cost is $230.

BiciSupport showed some other new bike fit/measuring tools at Eurobike. Albabici will stock some of them and all BiciSupport products are available in the U.S. by special order through Albabici.
