GoPro offers 4K recording and touch screen on new HERO4 cameras

SAN MATEO, CALIF. (September 29, 2014) - GoPro, Inc.'s newest action cameras the HERO4 Black and HERO4 Silver, have new features including 4K recording (on the Black model) and a built-in touch screen display (on the Silver model).

The HERO4 Black has an MSRP of $500; the HERO4 Silver will sell for $400.

HERO4 Black captures cinema-quality 4K video at 30 frames per second (fps), 2.7K video at 50fps and 1080p video at 120fps. HERO4 Black also features a redesigned audio system that captures sound with twice the dynamic range of previous models. 

The HEROK Silver records 1080p60 and 720p120 video and has a new touch screen display to simplify controls. It shoots 12MP photos up to 30 frames per second, has built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and is waterproof to 131 feet (40m).
