Hexlox offers new anti-theft Hexnut for rear hub motors

Published June 20, 2023

FRANKFURT (BRAIN) — At Eurobike Hexlox is launching a new anti-theft Hexnut for e-bikes with rear hub motors, along with a new thru axle aimed at OEM bike brands and operators of bike fleets and rentals.

"At the core this news means: Total Security for ALL bike parts and this offered with short lead times, great customer service and all sizes on demand," the company said.

The Hexnut M12, manufactured from stainless magnetic steel, is tailored to fit any e-bike with a rear hub motor and wheel nut. Equipped with a redesigned anti-spin ring it fastens with a 6mm hex tool and integrates with a 6mm Hexlox for security. Hexlox inserts block access to the hex bolt so any potential thief, equipped with a hex wrench or Allen key, cannot unfasten the bolt and steal the part. Each Hexloc is paired to a randomly coded Hexloc key that can be matched so one key fits all Hexlox on a bike.

The new OEM & Retail Thru Axle (below) is made in Germany with a steel head encased in aluminum. It's available for both OEM and retail customers in all common lengths, threads, in sizes M12 Front and Rear, and M15 Front. The company said the thru axles are available with very short lead times. Samples are available, and extra customizations are possible.

Hexlox is at Eurobike in Hall 12.1 Booth A03b. More information at hexlox.com.
