CARSON CITY, NV (BRAIN)—Veltec Sports will increase wholesale prices of the following European brands: Colnago, Sidi and Vredestein.

Effective June 1, a 10 percent increase will go into effect in order to partially offset substantial increases in the cost of these products as a result of a steeply increased Euro/Dollar exchange rate.

Other than a very small price increase earlier this year, Veltec has kept its prices largely constant throughout the season, even though the U.S. Dollar has devalued over 16 percent against the Euro during that period.

New orders placed in May that are also available to ship in May will continue to reflect current (pre-increase) pricing.

At midnight on May 31 all prices of the above products will roll over to reflect the 10 percent price increase.

Any backorders that were received prior to May 1 are secured with current (pre-increase) prices until the customer’s back orders are filled.

Any orders placed post May 1 with an expected delivery date after June 1 will reflect the new pricing (10 percent increase).
