MADISON, WI (BRAIN)—Schwinn has hired Tim Staton as its new marketing manager.

Staton will help provide an expanded marketing focus for the Schwinn brand within the independent bicycle dealer channel.

“It’s great to join a team with so much experience, talent, and passion,” Staton said. “As a cycling enthusiast, I’m excited to be working on such a strong cycling brand with so much history.”

Staton comes from a solid background of both bicycle and travel related marketing and sales. Most recently, he was the project manager for Trek Retail Services. Prior to that, Staton was the North American logistics manager for Trek Travel.

Staton is also an avid cyclist.

Schwinn is part of the Cannondale Sports Group division of Dorel Industries.
