Kickstand Magazine to Focus on Cruisers
Share/Bookmark

DENVER, CO (BRAIN)—Kickstand Magazine will launch its first issue (pictured) this June, and will have three more issues its first year.

“I think it’s the best time ever to [launch this type of magazine],” said Brad Evans, publisher and executive editor of Kickstand. He said the magazine’s Facebook page has grown by 80 people per day over the last month.

In the past few years cruiser bike riding has turned into a rapidly growing culture, and the passionate people behind Kickstand and its companion website CruiserRide.com will be the voice of the people who just love to cruise, Evans said.

The six-employee magazine will to be distributed to 2,200 bike retailers (mainly IBD), with roughly 2,000 subscribers—with $2.09 the cost for the first four issues. The first issue will consist of 36 pages with a trim size of 9” x 10.875.”

The seed money for the magazine came from a ride Evans and his crew have put on for the last five years called Denver Cruisers. He added that his sales staff did a wonderful job pulling in advertisers such as Nirve and Planet Bike.

Kickstand will chronicle cruisers with high quality photos, compelling stories and chic design, covering local, regional and national cruiser events, bike reviews, industry gossip, news, products, fashion, music and cruiser accessories.
