SoCal industry folks and friends are invited to an early birthday celebration for Dave "Crash" Collins, a promoter at Bootleg Canyon, who's been diagnosed with cancer.

The party is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday at the beach near Collins' home in San Clemente. These days Dave is enjoying cold foods, like sushi and watermelon, so feel free to bring some along to the party.

There is plenty of parking at Via Mecha and Linda Lane. From there, head north on the pedestrian path and you'll see the get-together.

Collins' medical expenses are mostly covered, but he and his wife could use some help. Click on the link above to donate to the fund.
