Zipp Moving to Larger Facility in Indy
Share/Bookmark

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (BRAIN)—Zipp Speed Weaponry is moving into a new 70,000 square-foot manufacturing and customer service center on Indianapolis' northwest side this July.

"Despite what we are experiencing in the national and global economy, there are great companies, like Zipp, that are continuing to grow and invest in Indiana,” said Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels. “Businesses are recognizing that Indiana is the place with a friendly environment for business and the new jobs being created by Zipp are evidence of that.”

Zipp currently employs nearly 130 people at its manufacturing and design operations in Speedway, Indiana. Zipp plans to begin hiring additional manufacturing and customer support associates in the second quarter of 2010 in preparation for the move. Zipp's move will create 105 new jobs by 2013.

“Zipp Speed Weaponry has its roots in innovation; our growth is driven by it. We are known for creating new products, and even new markets, within the cycling industry. Because Indiana offers an innovative, business-friendly climate with a great workforce, we decided to expand our headquarters and manufacturing operations in Indianapolis. We sincerely appreciate the support from both the city and state. We are pleased that the community recognizes our growth potential and we are very excited to continue our partnership,” said David Campbell, director of manufacturing at Zipp Speed Weaponry.
