GREENVILLE, SC (BRAIN)—Michelin North America is increasing prices on Michelin bicycle replacement tires sold in the United States and Canada up to 8 percent. All tires delivered after Jan. 1, 2008 will be invoiced at the new price.

“It’s a business decision based on a variety of factors that include looking at the current situation, market and cost,” said Lynn Mann, director of public relations for Michelin North America.

Mann said retailers would be informed of the price increases directly through letters and its sales force.
