SOUTH ORANGE, NJ (BRAIN)—SOMA Cycle (Zigo) has filed for patent protection covering numerous aspects of the Zigo Leader. The patents were filed prior to the launch of the product at Interbike in September.

The Zigo Leader integrated bike/stroller/jogger could be of particular interest to specialty retailers by offering them an exclusive chance to capture revenue streams previously held by three different product classes often sold in the mass market.

Filed patents include LeaderLink technology and the folding mechanism of the Child Pod. This augments the Company's intellectual property portfolio, which includes issued US patent no. 7,249,779, "Convertible stroller/tricycle."
