Auction Live for SRAM pART Fundraiser
Share/Bookmark

CHICAGO (BRAIN)—SRAM’s online auction for its pART Project went live last night as a fundraiser for World Bicycle Relief. Bidding started for sculptures made by artists from reclaimed bike parts such as chainrings, forks, bottom brackets, headsets and shifters and other materials like papier-maché, wood and steel. The intricate pieces of art run the gamut from a “Goat,” “Launching Pad” and “Samurai Bike Helmet” to much more abstract ideas.

The auction culminates at a grand finale exhibition at Chicago’s Gallery 1028 on Nov. 30. Tickets are $134—the cost for World Bicycle Relief to donate one bicycle to people in underdeveloped regions of the world.
