Police Use Coffee to Nab Bike Suspect

SEATTLE, WA (BRAIN)—Only in the Northwest where coffee is king is it possible for police to track down a bike theft suspect with a cup of java.

But that's exactly what happened to Jacob Bos when he walked into a Seattle bike shop last February, taking a $6,800 road bike out for more than just a spin with a fake name. Problem was, his DNA was quite real on the coffee cup he left inside the store. Cops found that Bos is most likely behind a string of high-end bike thefts in the area, making off with such marquee brands as Scott and Cervelo.
