Published October 8, 2008

NEW YORK, NY (BRAIN)—Come out on October 17 and 18 and join George Hincapie to support a great NYC charity.

On Friday night, October 17, attend a cocktail reception for Hincapie and the I Challenge Myself folks at Cadence NYC from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Get to meet Hincapie and learn more about the incredibly worthwhile cause of I Challenge Myself. Tax deductible donations in excess of $50 will be greatly appreciated. All proceeds will go to benefit www.IChallengeMyself.org.

On Saturday, October 18, ride with Hincapie. Everybody will meet at Cadence at 174 Hudson Street (corner of Vestry) at 8:30 a.m. and ride to Nyack and back, which is about 55 miles. Full support including food and mechanical services will be provided and don't worry: no one will be left behind.

Registration is limited so sign up soon. Upon your return to Cadence, there will be refreshments and more time to chat with Hincapie who will be on hand to sign autographs. The per person tax deductible donation is $200 of which 100 percent will go to IChallengeMyself.org.

I Challenge Myself (ICM) challenges and supports youth from under-served communities in New York City to achieve physically, socially and academically through their innovative cycling program—Cycling Smarts. Recently ICM was awarded a U.S. Department of Education grant to bring to scale its cycling program by expanding to three new schools over the next three years.
