Innovations In Bicycle Design at Tour

SANTA CRUZ, CA (BRAIN)—Santa Cruz Design & Innovation Center is sponsoring a panel of bicycle industry designers on Friday, February 13, to review significant historical design innovations and where bike design is heading.

The five person industry panel includes Calfee Design founder Craig Calfee, Specialized’s designer Robert Egger, Giro Helmet founder Jim Gentes, Santa Cruz Bicycle head engineer Joe Graney and Roxy Lo, designer for Ibis bicycles. The event is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the fourth floor of the EC Rittenhouse Building.

The Santa Cruz Design & Innovation Center also is opening a 25-year retrospective of significant bicycles created in and around the city of Santa Cruz. The exhibit is at the Museum of Art & History, running from February 6-22.
