SANTA FE, NM (BRAIN)—3Day at Ground is the official name of BTI’s shipping incentive that automatically upgrades dealers to UPS 3Day Air service at economical Ground rates. BTI estimates dealers in nearly half of the lower 48 states will experience dramatically faster delivery on their orders.
The regions that will benefit the most from 3Day at Ground are Northern California, the Northwest, the upper Midwest and the entire Eastern seaboard. Shops in these areas who typically waited up to week for their Ground packages to arrive, can now depend on the same low-cost, fast delivery that they might experience from another distributor in their region.
BTI has invested heavily in software modifications that allow its Web site to recognize shops by their ZIP code, automatically changing the shipping method for shops in more distant areas to 3Day at Ground. If a federally restricted ORM-D item like CO2 or a flammable liquid is on the order, that item is automatically shipped separately by Ground, but on the same invoice.
