FLETCHER, NC (BRAIN)—Cane Creek Cycling Components has hired Holly Colson as its new director of marketing.

Utilizing her 16 years of experience in marketing and avid passion for cycling, Colson will employ her skills to amplify the motivation behind Cane Creek’s brand, according to a press release.

“Holly’s insight, zeal and strong marketing background made her a natural choice for the Cane Creek team,” said Scott Sonnone, CEO of Cane Creek. “We’re going to keep Holly busy with several exciting developments in the works for 2011 and beyond.”

Through her career, Colson has worked as a marketing consultant for professional services firms including CB Richard Ellis Real Estate, Design Workshop, Montgomery Watson, and EDA Architects in Atlanta, Salt Lake City, and Asheville, North Carolina. Colson entered the bike industry in 2008 with Melon Bicycles; she was responsible for all aspects of sales and marketing as well as implementation of an innovative corporate fleet sales program.

“What a thrill,” Colson said. “Not only is Cane Creek a well-respected brand all over the world, the people behind it are even better. Combining my professional experience with my passion is a sincere pleasure. I look forward to continuing the surge and developing new initiatives to support Cane Creek in enhancing the cycling experience.”
