Published November 21, 2011

KENT, United Kingdom (BRAIN)—Cyclemotion’s Mark Bickerton is taking on a new role as brand ambassador and head of international sales for Proviz, a U.K. supplier of high-visibility cycling apparel.

Bickerton is the president of the Great Britain Bicycle Association and is in charge of U.K. sales and marketing for Tern Bicycles and Biologic accessories. Previously he spent 30 years working with Dahon and also manufactured his father’s Bickerton Portable Bicycles in the 1980s and '90s.

The up-and-coming Proviz tapped Bickerton to help continue to strengthen growth in its home market and recruit distributors in countries around the world.

"When Proviz approached me, I was first intrigued by the technology used in their product range,” Bickerton said in a press release. “I could immediately see that the use of Electro-Luminescence is going to revolutionize the high-visibility market. I am very excited to be working with such an innovative and passionate team.”

Proviz launched in late 2009. The following March, Moore Large Ltd. signed the brand in an exclusive distribution deal in the U.K. Demand and sales escalated, and Proviz doubled the size of its range. The company makes light-emitting cycling helmets, clothing and accessories and running apparel.
