Beeline Bikes launches mobile program for brick-and-mortar shops

Published January 12, 2017

SAN CARLOS, Calif. (BRAIN) — Mobile bike shop franchiser Beeline Bikes has announced a new Retail Partner Program, enabling brick-and-mortar retailers to add a mobile component to their business with Beeline's full support infrastructure.

"As the industry evolves, we see brick-and-mortar retailers missing out on broad segments of customers who don't visit bike shops for service or who prefer to purchase a bike online," said Pete Buhl, Beeline's co-founder and CEO. "This program enables retailers to access this segment of customers and retain them for life."

Beeline stated Thursday that the program enables brick-and-mortar retailers to:

  • Acquire customers via Beeline's e-commerce partnerships with Raleigh, Diamondback, Competitive Cyclist and others.
  • Further extend their brand into the community with co-branded mobile shops.
  • Maintain existing supply chain relationships.

"Key to the model is Beeline's partnerships with Accell North America (Raleigh and Diamondback) and Competitive Cyclist, which provide an integrated experience for customers to purchase online and have a ready-to-ride bike delivered to their door by a Beeline professional mechanic," the company stated.

Chris Speyer, Accell North America's managing director, said: "We're excited to see great retailers diversify their business and channel strategies. Today's consumer wants to purchase their bicycle where they want, when they want and how they want. They demand choice. While many retailers are taking an ad hoc approach to mobile service, Beeline's back-end technology makes their offering truly unique and valuable. We're excited to be partnering with Beeline, and to see progressive retailers expanding the way they think about the business."
